If you were around during World War II and on the home front you might recall scrap metal drives, victory gardens and the distorted voice of a Nazi dictator through the crackling static of a shortwave radio. From Hollywood came a spate of propagandistic films calculated to boost Americas morale while portraying the villainous enemy in cartoonish proportions.
